In weddings, as in real estate, it’s all about location, location, location. Trying to balance budget and dreams can be a delicate balance. This year we were fortunate to go to many familiar locations, and quite a few new ones as … Continue reading
What a wonderful year it has been for the Veis family! Carolyn & Andrew got married (see our “Shooting Through the Tears” post) in January and now Emma & Josh got married in September at beautiful Calamigos Ranch. We have known this wonderful family for over 25 years, photographed the kids’ B’nai Mitzvahs and shared many memorable milestones with them and their extended family.
Emma and Josh are the cutest couple—self nicknamed Mini Muffin. Just look at all the amazing attention to detail at their wedding. There were so many touching moments throughout the day, it’s hard to remember every one—lucky we have photographs to help us tell their story.
Emma’s brother, Andrew, was rabbi for the day and did an amazing job at both the ketubah signing and the ceremony. I don’t think anyone there will forget his infamous “selfie” as they got up to the chuppah. I also won’t forget Emma & Josh fist bumping after the bedecking ceremony—they were ready to go.
The most poignant moments came for me when Emma was getting ready and someone asked her if she wanted a glass of champagne. She responded no, and told me she wanted to remember every moment of the day, and not even take a chance at blurring her own memories. Combine that with Emma wearing her mom Margie’s veil and having the two grandmas (both Josh’s and Emma’s) there while she was dressing, and it was just so much positive energy.
Emma was a radiant bride, genuinely happy and jubilant all day long. Josh was with her 100%, making our job so easy and so much fun!
We wish both families many, many years of happiness, and some grandchildren along the way!

Nikki & Jeremy’s wedding had it all…a beautiful location, an awesome, fun, funky couple, a horse drawn carriage, the In-N- Out Burger truck for a midnight snack, Adee Dory coordinating every detail, fabulous flowers from Charmaine’s Florist, loving family & friends. The photographs tell the story. Enjoy!
