We had so much fun planning for their wedding with Ashley & Mason that we knew it was going to be an awesome day. Their engagement pictures at Paradise Cove Beach in Malibu with their adorable yellow lab pups were the perfect opportunity for us to become better acquainted with this fun loving couple.
From the moment we arrived at Newhall Mansion in the morning, we could feel the excitement and joy from every single person we encountered. The stage had been set for an incredible day- the sky was crystal blue, the temperature was mild and warm, the preparations were underway, and palpable excitement was in the air. Along with this wonderful bride and groom we were going to be working with an great team of vendors and wedding industry friends.
The girls were upstairs getting ready, Adriana from Cruz’s Bridal was there to help dress them, Julie and her team from Perfect Day, Perfect Hair were working on making the girls even more beautiful than they already were, moms and grandmas were enjoying the excitement and we got to meet the bridal party. Fun was the password for the day!
Ashley’s portraits were first in the upstairs hallway of the mansion. The window light and stained glass were amazing!
Then Adriana from Cruz’s bridal was so quick on her feet to get the little flower girl ready in her dress to add her to these portraits. The result was pure magic!
We continued to explore all the nooks and crannies in this historical home.
Then it was time for the first look and romantic portraits of Ashley & Mason.
Bridal party and family portraits were next, and of course there was more fun! The girls were stunning in their rich navy blue gowns and we just loved how Ashley’s sister:her maid of honor, had a contrasting gown in a pale gold. We weren’t surprised by the enthusiasm of this group and how much they shared in Ashley & Mason’s joy.
There was still time for family portraits before we headed to the church for the ceremony.
The ride to the church was made memorable in this stunning Rolls Royce Phantom.
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church is a stunning sanctuary and the perfect place for the exchange of vows. I especially loved the embraces during the sign of peace greetings. The true affection for this couple was overflowing and at times overwhelming. (in a good way of course)
And then it was party time…all the way! While we were gone the final preparations were being put on the mansion by the AV Party Rental team, J & M Entertainment, Claire’s Flowers, Jill’s Cake Creations and many loving friends had all pulled together with Truly Yours Catering and the ever attentive staff of Adam et al at the Newhall Mansion to transform the grounds and tent into a true masterpiece. Every detail you could possibly imagine was ready and accounted for. The theme of mason jars (after all the groom was Mason) and keys (yes the key to Ashley’s heart had been unlocked), along with signature cocktails, a dessert and candy bar-bar none, mood lighting, and more details than I can even name- so I will let the photos do the talking for you to see. It was just breathtaking! The stunning invitation and paper goods was from By Invitation Only Valencia.
Jill’s Cake Creations cake was so spectacular, it got it’s own room! The family wedding pictures and J & M’s lighting completed the perfect picture. The cake topper was hand made by the bride to show their love of snowboarding!
The candy bar was complete with personalized mason jars for the guest to take home their goodies!
A view from above…we went up the hill behind the mansion to take it all in!
And inside…the PARTY WAS ON! We got such a kick at watching Jorge from J & M Entertainment enjoy the crowd…and what a crowd it was!
Then there was a FLASH MOB…total surprise to Ashley & Mason…they joined right in!
Pitbull‘s FIREBALL set the tone for this next dance set!
The father daughter dance started off as would be expected…but then…!!!!!
Not to be outdone…the mother and son dance followed! Love that hair flip!
The dance floor was full all night long!
And then…good night!
Thank you again to all the wonderful vendors who made this day possible. It takes a village!
