We first met Kaiti when Jake was still in Iraq with his Marine Corps unit and she was busy planning the wedding and making decisions. She asked us if we could hold the date until Jake came home in December because this was a decision he really wanted to participate in. Who could say no to Kaiti? So we did and got to meet Jake shortly after his safe return. He agreed with Kaiti’s decision that we were the one for them and it has been our pleasure to continue planning with them for their May wedding.

When they suggested Vasquez Rocks for their engagement session, we were happy to hear it was available. We had almost forgotten just how beautiful it was and had a great time capturing it and meeting Tucker, the 6-month-old lab we had heard so much about. Try as we might, we were unable to “tucker” this little guy out, but he was well behaved when he wasn’t chewing on grass or trying to eat rocks.

Thank you Darlene and Tony for giving us a much needed mini-vacation this past weekend in beautiful Big Bear Lake. We loved exploring around town and going up to the slopes of Snow Summit with you. The images look like postcards and you two are the perfect couple to advertise for a day of fun in the snow.

One of the greatest parts of being a wedding photographer is the thank-you’s. All of them mean so much, whether it is the phone call the morning after an event left on our phone machine that we get to hear first thing Monday morning, or an email, or a handwritten thank you note months after the wedding… they all make us happy! The appreciation of our clients instantly puts smiles on our faces. We love sharing them, so we are very excited to share the first (of many) on this blog.

Jennifer & Matthew were married in mid-December at La Canada Country Club. We have known Matthew and his family for 20 years or so, having photographed his bar mitzvah along with his two brothers’ bar mitzvahs. We were excited when we got to meet and get to know his fiancée Jen and loved planning their wedding details with them. The wedding day was perfect, with typical Southern California December weather — 75 degrees and sunny. The sunset was amazing. This thank you note was the icing on the cake for us. We can’t wait to design an awesome album telling the story of the entire day and capturing each and every special moment. Thank you Jennifer & Matthew for taking the time to thank us… we love ya!
