Some Things Are Meant To Be…Like the Blending of Cultures at Marissa & Joe’s Sportsmen’s Lodge Wedding

Some things really are meant to be.  Marissa & Joe are both nurses.  They both work at UCLA Medical Center.  That is where this storybook romance started.  Their wedding was the blending of cultures and families.  Their parents, Marissa’s daughter, Joe’s nephews, and all of their siblings, were active participants in the ceremony and festivities.  Both Rabbi Jerry Fisher and Father Norman Supanchek officiated during the ceremony which started with a ketubah signing and included a unity candle ceremony and breaking a glass.  You need only look at the joy in the faces of the family while watching to know what a success the ceremony was.

The reception was nonstop fun with a rigorous hora, one of the biggest challahs we have ever seen and dancing all night long.  Marissa & Joe’s wedding was just what a wedding should be…a celebration!  And we were happy to be there to celebrate with them.

Olivia and Michael-First Love Couple Wed at Bridgeport Clubhouse in Valencia

Olivia is one determined young lady. Case in point- her older brother brought her groom Michael home for the first time; as his friend to hang out with. Then 12 year old Olivia spotted him and said- “I am going to marry him”. Well many, many years later she was finally allowed to date him, and yes, marry the man of her dreams. Who says persistence doesn’t pay off. Their Bridgeport wedding was like a dream come true!

We had such a great time with this sweet couple who take such good care of each other. We weren’t surprised when Michael sent a bag of McDonald’s french fries into the dressing room for his bride to munch on before starting photos. Their black, red and white themed candy bar was a big hit with all their guests.

We wish them both the happily ever after they deserve!
